handball.ch, officially known as the Schweizerischer Handball-Verband (SHV), is the national governing body for handball and beach handball in Switzerland. Established on December 7, 1974, the SHV is headquartered in Olten, Switzerland. It evolved from the Schweizerischen Handball-Ausschuss, which was founded in 1939. The SHV is dedicated to promoting and governing handball activities throughout Switzerland. It organizes national and international competitions, provides training programs for players and coaches, and manages affiliations with international bodies such as the International Handball Federation and the European Handball Federation. The organization supports the handball community, which includes clubs, players, and fans, with 229 affiliated clubs as of 2017. Led by President Pascal Jenny and Secretary General Jürgen Krucker, the SHV plays a vital role in fostering the growth and competitiveness of handball in the country.
