Each pipeline is approximately 1,224 kilometers long, with a combined capacity of about 55 billion cubic meters of gas annually, enough to supply energy to over 26 million European households. The company emphasizes reliable and safe transportation of natural gas across several countries, contributing to energy security in Europe. Nord Stream AG has made significant investments in the project, totaling around €7.4 billion, and its shareholders bring extensive expertise in energy infrastructure.
