重庆理工大学（Chongqing University of Technology), referred to as CQUT, is located in Chongqing, a municipality directly under the central government. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program is implemented by colleges and universities, the national typical experience colleges and universities for graduate employment. The school can be traced back to the 11th Technical School of the National Government Ordnance Engineering Bureau founded in 1940. After 1950, the school changed its name to 21 Arsenal Industrial Vocational School, Southwest Military and Political Committee Southwest Industrial Department Industrial School, Chongqing Machinery Industry School, Second Ministry of Machinery Industry Southwest No. 1 Industrial School, Chongqing Industrial School, Chongqing Machinery Manufacturing Industry School, Chongqing The first mechanical manufacturing industry school. In 1957, the metal cutting major of Kunming Instrument Manufacturing Industrial School was incorporated. In 1960, it was promoted to Chongqing Industrial College. In 1965, it was upgraded to Chongqing Institute of Technology. In 1985, approved by the State Education Commission, it was rebuilt as Chongqing Institute of Industrial Management. In 1999, it was transferred from China Ordnance Industry Corporation to Chongqing Municipality, and implemented a management system jointly built by the central and local governments, with local management as the mainstay. In the same year, it was renamed Chongqing Institute of Technology. In 2001, Chongqing Economic Management Cadre College was integrated into it. In 2009, it was renamed as the Chongqing University of Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. As of November 1, 2019, the school has 3 campuses including Huaxi, Liangjiang and Yangjiaping.There are 21 teaching units and 65 undergraduate majors;There are more than 28,000 full-time undergraduates, graduate students and international students.
