Nastenka" charitable foundation was founded in February of 2002 with the support and assistance of the Children Oncology and Haematology Research Institute at the Russian Oncological Scientific Centre at the Russian Medical Academy on the initiative of people from various countries, united in their wish to help sick kids. The problems of children's oncology are subject of special consideration in the whole world, as a child's life is a sacred notion. In recent years children's oncologists have made significant progress in combating the diseases that earlier used to be incurable. As a result of proper timely treatment 80% of children recover. The "Nastenka" Charitable Foundation seeks to improve quality of treatment and to provide all kinds of assistance to families of sick children. These goals will be achieved through the programs developed by the Foundation.
