HateAid strengthens democracy in digital space.  By providing direct counselling and legal support in cases of digital violence. By making politics and society aware of deficiencies. By providing specific solutions for a better coexistence.  All this with one goal: an internet which allows for freedom of speech and participation.  Digital violence can affect everyone. But it doesn't affect everyone in the same way. People who experience discrimination in other areas of everyday life are particularly affected. Even more so if they take a stand on the internet – for their own concerns. Or for the needs and views of others. HateAid is here to defend their rights, for freedom of speech is a human right.
