The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) is the regional tourism development agency for the Caribbean, established in 1989. Headquartered in Barbados, it represents 25 member countries and territories, including various language-speaking nations, along with private sector partners like hotel associations and tourism service providers. The CTO aims to position the Caribbean as a top warm-weather destination, promoting sustainable tourism under the motto “One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.” CTO offers a range of services, including marketing and promotion through joint advertising campaigns, research and data collection to inform policy, and technical assistance for member nations. It advocates for members' interests in international forums and organizes events such as conferences and cultural festivals. The organization also produces publications, digital tools for collaboration, and educational programs focused on hospitality and eco-tourism, all aimed at enhancing the tourism experience while preserving local communities and resources.
