Afropercussion, led by Holger Gerstaedt, is dedicated to the art of drumming and music education. With over 34 years of experience, Holger has been deeply involved in drumming, starting from his first concert in 1984. He has trained at the Lapping Percussion Schule in Darmstadt and has participated in numerous workshops with renowned African drummers. Holger's work extends to teaching in various settings, including schools, social institutions, and refugee projects. He has also collaborated with the Bürgerstiftung in Hildesheim to equip schools with drums, promoting music education. His own drumming school in Hildesheim offers a diverse range of instruments and fosters joy, social interaction, and self-discovery.
