Federation Of Rental-housing Providers Of Ontario (FRPO)

The Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) is the largest association in Ontario for individuals and companies involved in the rental housing sector. Established over 35 years ago, FRPO advocates for a balanced housing market and supports consumer protection while promoting private sector solutions to meet housing needs across the province. FRPO offers various services to its members, including public advocacy, industry research, education and training programs, and networking events. The organization also recognizes excellence in the rental housing sector through awards. Members benefit from programs like the FRPO Appliance Replacement Program and discounts on credit reports. One of its notable initiatives is the Canadian Certified Rental Buildings Program (CCRBP), which promotes sustainable rental housing and provides a quality assurance mark for consumers. FRPO represents over 2,200 members managing more than 350,000 residential rental homes in Ontario, including small property owners and large developers.
