After carefully assessing the rapidly evolving situation, the HITS Board of Directors has made the difficult, but necessary decision to postpone the August 2020 and 2021 Annual Conferences. We recognize that almost every HITS attendee and member works with or for the healthcare community and therefore have a priority to be available to support their communities. We will post an update by June 30, 2021 The HITS Consortium is a collaborative effort that connects researchers and experts from across disciplines who are committed to infection control in healthcare. HITS was established for the purpose of promoting public health by reducing healthcare-associated infections through the integration of best infection prevention practices concerning the following major pathogen transmission systems in the healthcare setting: surfaces, person to person, water and Air. Join us for our first meeting bringing together key hospital players (Environmental Services, Facilities Management and Engineering, Infection Control, and management) with research scientists, industry leaders and others for a “boots on the ground” approach to improve current infection control strategies, guidelines, policies and to stimulate innovative products and practices for improved patient safety.
