The company is a German manufacturer of meltblown nonwovens used as a filter layer in protective masks, filters, waterproofing materials, and also a manufacturer of FFP2 masks. As one of few companies Medi-Laabs tests its masks in German laboratories. Medi-Laabs masks passed filtration and air resistance tests in German accredited laboratories DEKRA (accredited body number 0158) and HOHENSTEIN Institute (accredited body number 0555). Medi-Laabs is one of the few companies on the market producing both filters and FFP2 masks. This has a definite impact on the quality of the masks, as the company knows exactly what the filtration and air resistance is before using Meltblown filters to manufacture the masks. Medi-Laabs masks, apart from high filtration, are also distinguished by very good air permeability. You simply breathe better in these masks. Medi-Laabs does not only test the filtration of the masks after production, but also before and after thermal conditioning, which allows to assess the level of filtration that will be preserved after long storage of the masks. Many mask manufacturers only test masks either once during certification or occasionally. Medi-Laabs does this multiple times throughout the day. The lab works 24 hours per day 7 days a week. Medi-Laabs has implemented the highest quality standards. It has its own fully equipped laboratory to test FFP masks according to the norm EN 149 and medical masks according to EN 14683. Every roll of Meltblown filters and every batch of filters and masks is tested. The company is in the process of advanced implementation of the ISO 17025 standard for laboratories.
