CYENS Centre of Excellence is a Research and Innovation Centre based in Nicosia, Cyprus. It focuses on Interactive Media, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies, aiming to enhance knowledge and technology transfer in the region. The centre is a collaboration between three public universities in Cyprus and two international partners, including the Max Planck Institute for Informatics and University College London. It is funded by Horizon 2020 and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. The mission of CYENS is to conduct world-class research that drives innovation for social and economic benefits. Its research pillars include Visual Sciences, Human Factors & Design, and Communications & Artificial Intelligence. CYENS also offers a summer schools programme that combines creative and recreational activities. The centre promotes collaboration among academics, researchers, and entrepreneurs to foster innovation and advance the fields it specializes in.
