The Confédération Nationale de la Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Française (CNBPF) is the leading professional organization for France's artisan baking sector. Established in 1934 and restructured in 1946 to include pastry professionals, it represents 33,000 artisan bakers and pastry chefs throughout the country. Based in Paris, the CNBPF operates through 94 departmental groups and 13 interdepartmental groups, all governed by a national bureau. The CNBPF focuses on advocacy, training, dispute resolution, and networking. It defends the interests of its members in labor laws and pricing policies, offers professional development programs, and assists in legal and commercial conflicts. The organization promotes traditional French breads, such as the Baguette de Tradition Française, and supports regional specialties and pastry craftsmanship. It engages with consumers to foster appreciation for authentic French baking and collaborates with industry partners to enhance the sector's ecosystem.
