The Amsterdam Economic Board is a collaborative network dedicated to promoting sustainable economic growth and innovation in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Its goal is to position the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area among Europe’s top three innovative regions by 2025. The Board facilitates collaborative innovation to tackle issues such as the circular economy, smart cities, and digital skills. It leads initiatives like Amsterdam InChange to future-proof the local economy and engages in policy advocacy with EU programs to influence innovation and sustainability policies. Additionally, it focuses on talent development by partnering with organizations to create adaptive labor markets and upskill underrepresented groups. The Board produces strategic frameworks, research insights, and policy recommendations to guide regional development, working with over 200 member organizations and various EU partnerships.
