JavaZone is Europe's largest community-driven Java conference, held annually in Oslo, Norway, since 2001. Organized by javaBin, the Norwegian Java User Group, the event is run entirely by volunteers. It aims to promote knowledge-sharing, professional development, and networking within the Java and modern software development communities. The conference features two days of talks across seven parallel tracks, with over 160 speakers and more than 3,200 attendees. It also includes hands-on workshops, social gatherings, and a popular afterparty known as "AweZone." JavaZone facilitates collaboration among developers, tech companies, and open-source contributors, providing educational content on Java, JVM technologies, and software architecture. Additionally, it offers sponsorship packages for tech companies to connect with developers. The next event is scheduled for September 4-5, 2024, with workshops on September 3.
