The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) is a non-profit trade association founded in 1960, dedicated to developing export markets for U.S. coarse grains and related products. The Council promotes U.S. agricultural exports through market development, technical assistance, and trade policy advocacy, operating in over 50 countries with full-time staff in 28 locations. USGC focuses on expanding international demand for products such as barley, corn, sorghum, distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS), and ethanol. In the 2022/2023 period, it exported 42.1 million metric tons of corn to 58 countries and facilitated significant imports of DDGS and ethanol globally. The Council also engages in market development through technical training programs and provides market intelligence reports to support international buyers. Its long-term partnerships, particularly in emerging markets like Vietnam and China, enhance its efforts in promoting U.S. grains worldwide.
