Founded in 1928, Kofteci Ramiz had been a popular meatball restaurant in the Aegean part of Turkey. Its delicious taste comes from 100% veal and the signature grilling technique. Kofteci Ramiz reinvented itself in accordance with the changing environment and established branches throughout Turkey. The founder Ramiz Taskinlar moved to Turkey, fleeing from the Balkan War with his brother and grandmother. They settled in Akhisar and started to work in their uncle's restaurant. In this restaurant they started to make the meatball (kofte) which they enjoyed back in their hometown Prilep, Macedonia. They made the meatballs from 100% calf meat, mixed only with salt and onions. They placed the tasty meatballs on pita like bread soaked in butter, accompanied with fresh tomatoes and fresh green pepper. By 2006, the four sons of Ramiz took the business to another level by opening up restaurants with the franchising model. As of 2013, Kofteci Ramiz serves its tasty grills in 25 towns throughout Turkey, in 132 restaurants. All of the meat products served in 132 Kofteci Ramiz restaurants are delivered on a daily basis without freezing, to ensure freshness.
