ERGO is one of the major insurance groups in Germany and Europe. Worldwide, the Group is represented in over 30 countries and concentrates on Europe and Asia. ERGO is part of Munich Re, one of the leading reinsurers and risk carriers worldwide. Within the Group, ERGO is the specialist in primary insurance, i.e. for insuring private and corporate customers directly, both in Germany and abroad. The Group's investments of 210 billion euros, of which 126 billion euros is accounted for by ERGO, are managed primarily by the joint asset management and fund company MEAG.
