Formed to support and drive the implementation of sustainable supply chains through innovation and technology, MASSCI advocates, educates and activates the future of connected business in a post pandemic world. MARKET FORCES Improving supply chain sustainability and the sustainability of supply chain partnerships require innovation in collaborations across sectors and geographies. Increasing pressure from investors, consumers, regulators, and other stakeholders means that more companies are rethinking the environmental effects of their businesses. Increased global commitment to implement UN’s SDGs by 2030 and the push for ESG reporting is a trend that is becoming more important in all parts of a company’s supply chain, no matter how small the cog in the supply chain wheel. Greener supply chains deliver benefits for both business and the environment, and can also translate into sizable financial and commercial benefits for companies, especially over the longer term through lower operating costs, stronger brand, continued social license to operate, and improved access to resources.
