This pedal powered social enterprise reduces the amount of waste that office buildings send to landfill by diverting up to 80% of it to organic compost. Most commercial office buildings have adopted systems for managing recyclables, but very few have an effective way to manage organic waste. This is where City ReCycle can help. We facilitate the collection of organics, but importantly also the collection of paper hand towel from bathrooms which accounts for a huge proportion of a buildings' waste to landfill. City ReCycle will collect this organic waste and recycle it into garden compost instead of adding it to landfill, resulting in a significant reduction in a building's contribution to CO2 emissions. In addition, our collections are made by bicycle, so as a supplier, we are a zero carbon emission enterprise. If you take supply chain impacts into consideration in your contractor procurement, we are a uniquely environmentally-friendly option. We track each buildings' performance and produce detailed monthly reports and data for inclusion in your own environmental reporting.
