OpenPhase Solutions GmbH is a technology start-up offering innovative material simulation solutions for research and development. As an original university spin-off from the Ruhr-University Bochum we connect the academic and industrial world and develop and distribute software for the simulation of microstructure evolution based on the phase field method. The software OpenPhase: As a simulation suite for engineers and material scientists we offer OpenPhase Studio, a graphical simulation environment to visualize processes in the material on the micrometer level by means of physical simulation and thus to improve the production, development and understanding of the microstructure in general. Among other things, OpenPhase enables the - simulation of grain ripening processes and grain boundary effects - simulation of solidification of multi-component alloys - simulation of diffusion and thermodynamic phase transformations - simulation of mechanical loads and plastic deformations - simulation of melt convection and heat diffusion and the combination of all these effects in a single physical simulation.
