The Finnish Additive Manufacturing Ecosystem (FAME) is a collaborative network established in 2020 to enhance the role of additive manufacturing in Finland. It includes over 60 members, ranging from large corporations to startups, and aims to position Finland as a leader in additive manufacturing technologies. FAME focuses on improving the use of these technologies in the machine manufacturing industry and creating a supportive infrastructure for 3D printing. FAME offers various services, including modular training programs in additive manufacturing, an experimental AM centre in Vaasa, and support for research and development initiatives. Members benefit from networking opportunities through events and promotional activities, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the industry. The ecosystem is funded through a combination of public and partner company resources, with support from Business Finland for its activities in 2024-2025.
