Availery was the idea that industry specialisations were an opportunity for niche smart-matching people with projects, and that everyone would benefit by matching through skills AND availability. The concept started to solve my own problem in IT/ERP/SAP, of knowing who had the SKILLS to do the work… but missing the WHEN they could do it. And who loves a million phone calls to busy people to find out availability? So after years in consulting, resourcing, project and program delivery: I put my trusty Business Analyst hat back on. "If only there was a platform that showed when people were coming available…" became a boot-strapped prototype. I worked through: •Analysing requirements, crafting workflows, process sequencing, data models •Designing wireframes, mock-ups, layouts, designs, UI/UX •Writing data dictionaries, functional specifications, epics, user stories, work packages •Engaging an eclectic team of frontend/backend techies •Managing agile stories from ideation to testing and delivery •Engaging a channel partner, launching an MVP platform and watching: •….100's of SAP consultants joining up. My little experimental start-up platform: •Won an AWS Activate Start-Up program place •Won a NSW Government Innovation Grant •Shortlisted for the Innovation Districts Challenge partnered with Newcastle Uni Then a few things happened that swayed the course: •Covid hit and slashed all the projects •ChatGPT was born bringing even more AI to a human market •I fell into Cybersecurity •Life happened. So the initial concept of a white-labelled smart-match platform for any industry morphed with the times, and gently became superseded by passions beyond resourcing and dreams beyond filling project plans.
