
AVTOVAZ is one of the largest automobile plants in Eastern Europe, the leader of Russian automotive industry. Its production capacities let it produce up to 800 000 vehicles per year. AVTOVAZ products are passenger vehicles for mass production; price range is from 279 000 to 500 000 rubles. All AVTOVAZ vehicles are produced in accordance with the ecological standard “Euro-4”, and for the export to EEC countries in accordance with the standard “Euro-5”. AVTOVAZ occupies more than 600 hectares; area of buildings belonging to the company is more than 4 Mio. sq m. AVTOVAZ workshops contain tens of thousands of units of facilities; length of assembly lines is 300 km, length of the main assembly line is 1.5 km. At the present time about 68 thou. of people are working at JSC “AVTOVAZ”, average age of whom is 40 years. Including personnel of service and sales companies and suppliers of components, well-being of more than 4 millions of Russian people depends on AVTOVAZ stable functioning. 270 companies supply AVTOVAZ main assembly line with components and materials. Into the maintenance system of vehicles more than 370 companies throughout Russia are involved. AVTOVAZ is an equal partner of RENAULT – NISSAN – AVTOVAZ concern. By 2020 1 200 000 of passenger vehicles under LADA, RENAULT and NISSAN brands – 9 models on unified platforms – will be produced at AVTOVAZ production areas.
