China FAW Group Corpration (formerly the First Automobile Works), cradle of the Chinese automobile industry and currently one of the biggest automakers in China, shoulders the important mission of independent development of national automobile industry. China FAW Group Corpration R&D Center (hereafter referred to as "the Center" for short), formerly Changchun Automotive Research Institute, founded in 1950, and operates as a product research and development body of FAW Group Corporation, bears the responsibility of initiating and developing national automotive industry. After six decades of ups and downs, the Center which embodies wisdom and emotion of generations of automotive technicians has now grown up to the biggest automotive product research, development, test and inspection facility in the Chinese automotive industry.
