The China News Service (simplified Chinese: 中国新闻社; traditional Chinese: 中國新聞社) is the second largest state-owned news agency in China. The CNS was established in 1952, it used to be part of the Xinhua News Agency. It has offices and networks in every province in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and all across the world. 中国新闻社（英语：China News Service）简称中新社，是中华人民共和国的一家国家通讯社。前身是1938年在周恩来参与策划下，由范长江、胡愈之等发起成立的“国际新闻社”。其自身定位为“以对外报道为主要新闻业务的国家级通讯社，是以台港澳同胞、海外华侨华人和与之有联系的外国人为主要服务对象的国际性通讯社”。是中共中央统一战线工作部直属事业单位。
