Established in 1986 and headquartered in Groningen, it hosts Europe’s largest showcase festival and music conference each January, attracting over 40,000 attendees and 4,000 industry professionals. The festival features more than 40 stages across the city, providing a platform for emerging artists to perform and connect with industry leaders. The organization focuses on elevating new European artists through various initiatives, including the European Talent Exchange (ETEP), which helps book acts at major festivals, and ESNS Radar & Analytics, a data-driven platform that tracks the impact of European artists.
