Cascade PBS, based in Seattle, Washington, is a community-licensed public television station and media organization. Formerly known as KCTS 9, it serves the Seattle–Tacoma area and parts of Canada. The organization aims to inspire a smarter world through high-quality programming and engaging community events. Cascade PBS offers a diverse range of programming, including drama, news, documentaries, science shows, children's content, and local stories. Its streaming service, Cascade PBS Passport, provides members with access to an extensive library of on-demand content across various devices. The organization also hosts community events such as screenings, discussions, and fundraisers to enhance community engagement. In 2023, Cascade PBS relocated to a new facility in First Hill, Seattle, and in 2024, it was formed by integrating Crosscut and KCTS 9, marking a new chapter in Seattle's media landscape. The organization serves over 100,000 members who are interested in public media and educational content.
