Mars Space provides innovative solutions in space and plasma technology, with special emphasis on electric propulsion, advanced concepts and the space environment (in particular solar radiation environments). Mars Space passionate team has worked on all major electric propulsion technologies ranging from power levels of 1W to 100kW, raising more than 1M€ in funding from ESA and InnovateUk for product development and delivering the first 3 units to international customers. The company is involved in several European Space Agency programs, and routinely collaborates with leading companies like QinetiQ and ESP. Mars Space has demonstrated its capabilities in designing and testing a full propulsion subsystem for cubesats, developing advanced concepts like the Dual-Stage Ion Engine and components, in particular hollow cathodes.
