The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) was created in 1949 by the Ohio Legislature. It is a government agency in the U.S. state of Ohio charged with maintaining natural resources such as state parks, public lands, state forests, state waterways, and recreation areas. ODNR has the 2nd largest Law Enforcement presence in the state of Ohio in one Agency. Divisions of ODNR include: Division of Engineering Division of Forestry Division of Geological Survey Division of Mineral Resources Management Division of Natural Areas and Preserves Division of Oil & Gas Resources Division of Parks and Watercraft Division of Water Resources Division of Wildlife Office of Coastal Management Office of Real Estate & Land Management Office of Law Enforcement ODNR posts summer intern positions in October for the following year. They hire seasonal, intermittent, part-time and full-time staff in all 88 counties in Ohio.
