Regional Development
The Southern Regional Assembly is one of three regional assemblies in Ireland, acting as a link between national government and the ten local authorities in the Southern Region. It coordinates and promotes economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and community development across six counties of Munster and three counties in South Leinster. The Assembly manages over €1.1 billion in EU funds since 2000 and plays a critical role in transferring and delivering national and European policies and programmes to regional and local levels.
