Great Dane Airlines A/S was a Danish regional airline based in Aalborg, founded in 2018 by CEO Thomas Hugo Møller. The airline operated from 2019 until its bankruptcy in October 2021, focusing on charter and ACMI leasing services, as well as limited scheduled routes. The airline's fleet included three leased Embraer E195 aircraft, configured for regional travel. Great Dane Airlines primarily engaged in wet-lease agreements with other airlines and tour operators, and it offered seasonal flights from Aalborg to destinations like Malaga and Palma de Mallorca. The airline collaborated with travel agencies, enhancing its service offerings in the regional travel market. Despite its efforts, Great Dane Airlines faced significant financial challenges, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to its eventual closure. The airline aimed to cater to Denmark's regional travel needs, particularly for holiday routes to Southern Europe, during its brief operational period.
