The Anne Arundel County Police Department, MD is a Nationally Accredited Law Enforcement Agency located between Washington DC and Baltimore MD. Anne Arundel County Police has approximately 1000 sworn and civilian members. The department is tasked with assuring the safety and general welfare of the public by preventing crimes, apprehending criminals, enforcing laws and protecting lives, property, and the rights of citizens. Officers perform a wide range of law enforcement assignments from homicide investigation, bike patrol, K9, SWAT, patrol, and many other functions within the department. The department seeks to hire the best and the brightest men and women as officers, while striving to reflect the community we serve.
