CISAC, or the Confédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Auteurs et Compositeurs, is a non-profit organization established in 1926 in France. It is the leading network of authors' societies, representing over 3 million creators in more than 120 countries. Headquartered in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, CISAC also has regional offices in Burkina Faso, Chile, China, and Hungary. CISAC's mission focuses on protecting creators' rights and ensuring fair remuneration worldwide. It advocates for stronger copyright laws, establishes governance frameworks for member societies, and facilitates the collection and distribution of royalties for creative works.
